Twenty years ago the world was a very different place. The reach of technology was limited, and the way organisations used and processed your personal data was very different to how they use it today.
The changes that have happened over the last two decades have forced the European Union (EU) to review the old legislation and bring it up to speed with the modern era. The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) raises the standards for processing personal data, to strengthen and unify protection for individuals across the EU.
1st Majadahonda Scouts uses your data to manage the secure internal databases for its members.
This ensures information such as allergies, food intolerance, health notes (and national ID in case of Explorers) is available only when needed, and only to the people that need to have the access and ensure a safe environment for your children.
All systems used by 1st Majadahonda are fully GDPR compliant and specific training is given by the Scout Association in how to manage the storage, review and access of any of your information held electronically.
We will need your permission to use your data and you will be asked this specifically.
